How this site is made.

Three faces, three registers, and no font-shopping after launch. The display voice and long-form reading is Newsreader, a variable serif whose optical sizing does the bookwork from headline to text sizes. The working sans — body, interface, controls, navigation — is Archivo, a variable grotesk with a working width axis. Marginalia — the codes, captions, and provenance rows that annotate every page — is Fragment Mono. Prose runs oldstyle figures; every stat and table runs tabular lining figures.

Every seal and plate on this site is generated — not drawn — by a small, dependency-free engine in the site’s own codebase. It composes the classical security-printing family: harmonically modulated rings (the rosettes on seals), phase-stepped wave bundles (the engraving fields), and Spirograph-class trochoids (the page plates). Each is derived deterministically from a seed string — usually the entity’s name — so no two registered things share ornament, every seal is reproducible from its seed, and the whole system costs nothing at runtime: the geometry is baked into the page at build time as plain SVG.

Seals are stamps, never backgrounds. They print in silver linework at rest, and only the firm’s own seal is ever struck in gold. This is the artistic analog of the site’s claims policy: even the decoration is verifiable.

Every interface pictured on this site is a real capture from the firm’s repositories — a screenshot of the named system’s running build. Each exhibit carries a provenance caption stating what was captured and the stage it was captured in (CAPTURED 2026-07 · ACTIVE BUILD), kept current as the systems move.

The corollary is the no-fake-UI rule: no invented dashboards, no decorative wireframes, no fabricated browser chrome, no stock photography. Where photography does not exist, the page carries a designed object in its place — a sealed monogram plate derived from the person’s name — rather than pretending.

Motion here is horology, not theater. Two machined curves drive everything: a plate easing — cubic-bezier(0.33, 0, 0.18, 1) — for movement that seats like a plate into its bed, and a sharper escapement easing for presses. Nothing bounces, nothing loops for decoration, and nothing hijacks the wheel: a statement may fill word-by-word as you carry it through the viewport, but the page always scrolls at exactly the rate you scroll it.

Under prefers-reduced-motion the site keeps parity, not a degraded copy: reveals render visible, fills render fully inked, ceremonies render in their finished state, and route transitions collapse to an instant.

SvelteKit and TypeScript, prerendered to static pages wherever the content allows. No animation library — the two easings above are the whole vocabulary. No analytics without consent. Imagery is engine geometry and real captures, nothing stock. The site prints properly, on purpose — try it.
