Our team includes a former Accenture Global Partner, founders who have sold their own businesses, and advisors with extensive transaction experience. Each brings a different perspective to the decisions our clients face.
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Zack leads client engagements at Lotus, from acquisition strategy through the growth of the businesses they buy. He built Legacy Business Brokers into a national network of more than 30 offices with over $60 million in closed transactions.
Senior Partner & Head of M&A Strategy
Gene advises Lotus clients on acquisition strategy and transaction decisions. A former Global Partner at Accenture, he brings four decades of experience with business owners and Fortune 500 executive teams.
Senior Partner & Chief Strategy Officer
Matt leads acquisition strategy and deal origination at Lotus. As founder and CEO of Orca, he built origination systems that have sourced more than $720 million in closed transactions.
Chief Revenue Officer
Charles leads revenue at Lotus and oversees executive and sales training for client companies. He has founded and sold four businesses and trained tens of thousands of executives across hundreds of companies.
Head of Growth
Dan leads growth and prospective-client relationships at Lotus. He brings twenty years of franchise ownership to the role, alongside his work advising buyers through The Franchise Shoppe.
Director of Operations & Deal Origination
Rhina leads operations and deal origination at Lotus, overseeing seller research and the work that follows each introduction. Her background includes vice-president-level responsibility for customer operations across international brands.
A senior member of the team leads every engagement and remains involved throughout the work.
Origin
Zackary Thornberg founded Lotus to give business owners direct access to experienced advisors who take an active role in their work. The firm brings together M&A advisory, management consulting, and custom software development, with a senior team responsible for each engagement.

Structure
Clients work directly with the senior people responsible for their engagement. We develop our own software to support research, analysis, and delivery, giving the team more time for the decisions and relationships that need personal attention.
We also plan for what happens after our work is complete. The systems we build are documented for the client’s team, so improvements can continue without an ongoing dependency on Lotus.
Stewardship & Mission
We dedicate part of our practice to organizations working to prevent human trafficking, feed children, and strengthen education and local communities. We bring the same care to these assignments that we bring to our commercial work.
